At Sky Adventures we use the latest tandem aero-towing techniques to provide the safest, most enjoyable experience possible. “Tandem” hang-gliders are built for two and operated by an experienced pilot. The tandem hang-glider is towed into the air by a specially designed tow-plane called a “tug”. Unlike hill launching, aero-towing allows us to take you as high as you want and release you anywhere. Flying this way is safer and a lot more convenient then hill launching. The sky truly is the limit.

Our professional pilots are certified by the New Zealand Hang Gliding and Paragliding association.

They are committed to your safety and ensuring your experience is unforgettable for all the right reasons.Statistics show that hang gliding is one of the safest forms of recreational aviation. Our tandem gliders feature heavy-duty landing gear and quality cocoon harnesses to ensure your safety and comfort.

 

ESSENTIAL INFO

WHAT TO BRING:
Sturdy footwear and warm clothing to suit the day. We supply flight suits, helmets and gloves.

PASSENGER GUIDELINES:
1. Weight restriction 100kg/220lbs
2. You will be asked to complete a waiver and medical disclosures form
3. Passengers under 16 years require parental consent
4. Operations subject to suitable weather conditions.

2500 ft. flight, approximately 15-20 minutes, $185
5280 ft (“mile high”) flight, approximately 30+ minutes, $275
